It would make a good entrance to a haunted house...

That is really cool looking, but it is scary to try to imagine how many or how BIG the spiders are? Maybe a movie in the making "ATTACK of the GIANT SPIDERS" Laughing

Quote:
But John Jackman, a professor and extension entomologist for Texas A&M University, said he hears reports of similar webs every couple of years.

Wonder if there is some weather phenomenon (such as excessive rains) that bring the spider out knowing that the mosquito pop is large and go for the gusto to binge... Either way I still wonder about the spiders too, interesting to watch but I don't really want to be near them.

Rattlesnake bites Mrs. America contestant

A Mrs. America contestant spent about 15 hours in a hospital after being bitten by a rattlesnake at a Tucson hotel.

Christina Ryan plans to continue despite suffering the venomous bite.

Ryan, who is representing Tennessee in the event being held at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, was heading down a staircase to a rehearsal at about 9 a.m. Sunday when she saw a spider in her path.

Having been bitten by a venomous brown recluse spider as a child, she knew to avoid the creature.

While avoiding the spider, she unknowingly stepped near a rattlesnake that bit her on the foot, she said.

"I startled it doing my little spider dance, and he bit me," she said. "As soon as it bit me I knew it was a rattlesnake."

Wow! My husband was staying at that resort the same time that happened! He was there for a conference and said the hotel staff had to remove many snakes from the hotel hallways.

Anything for a good publicity shot eh! Some minor trouble discerning various appendages in this awkward shot, but finally got them resolved. Fairly decent marketing in my estimation.

I've seen similar cobwebs in Illinois, but not as dense. Pretty eerie.

Yeah, I can agree with the haunted house entrance thing.

If I ran into something like that backpacking, I'd head out a few more miles for sure, and hopefully Hooli was on the trip too.

Stan I haven't figured it out. That shoulder shot is weird, what is that brown ball looking thing under her chin.... Can it be what I was thinking, pretty weird looking from this shot.
