It has been brought to our attention that we need to do our "summer" get together before it gets too hot.
So I'm thinking that we do it in June. It has also been suggested that we break away from the chili aspect of the gathering and do a "BBQ Cook Off" where you can show off your culinary expertise on the grill.
I am proposing that we try a different location from the previous events; the Cave Creek Regional Park -
http://www.maricopa.gov/parks/cave_creek
There is camping and ramadas that we can reserve for just our group. The park is basically central to no one and should be less crowded than any of our other local choices of venues That should hopefully keep most of y'all happy. So we're into our choice of dates which I'll post in a Poll and y'all can vote and add your comments and suggestions from there. I am adding the choices for Saturday and Sunday however some of us will want to add Friday in as well.
Let me know what y'all think and get in here.
Thanks,

I won't be here those last two weekends; I'll be making a tour of Bryce, Yellowstone and Mesa Verde National Parks. _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

I'm trying to remember if June is hotter than July? I think it may be a dicey deal ~~~but I may be game to show up with some ribs and sauce. _________________ ~~~Trish~~~

The end of June will definitely be around 110 . Won't have to worry about bringing a grill just set the meat out in the sun for a slow BBQ _________________ Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. |

I'm voting for July 8th for totally personal reasons...we'll be in Illinois (& Jamaica ) during June...
July 9 is usually a bit chillier than the rest of the month... _________________ -Colin
