I have the flavored instant coffee and just don't like them. That is what I took on Paria.... so sweet! Not as much coffee flavor... just not good. Instant... yuck! I grind my own coffee every morning and use filtered water... can you say coffee snob?

That little coffee steeper doesn't weigh anything! I tired it this morning and it was pretty good for trail coffee. the weight of ground coffee is no more than the weight of that instant crap....

As for the water I guess out on the trail I will have to use "filtered water" as well! Wink

Yeah, they had that at REI as well but it was $12.00 vs $5.00 so I thought I would try the little $5.00 steeper first.....and the little one packs easier.

I make cowboy coffee, Dump what looks about right in your cup, pour boiling (very important) water in, and when the grounds sink it's ready, that last sip is tricky.

Very Happy When camping I use the Folger's coffee bags. However, as a general rule, I will drink anything that is hot, black, and resembles coffee, to include Hooli's brew. Multi Can you say unsophisticated, crude, heathen, pegan coffee drinker. Silly
