I know that back in Peoria (Illinois) that the hospitals accept donations of old cell phones. Apparently they give them to battered women to allow them to contact 911.
Is anyone familiar with a similar type of program out here? We've got 3 old phones we'd like to give away...

We did this at work a couple of years ago. I'll see if I can find out what charity we gave to. _________________ [/size] |

You can takeyour old cell phone to any police station and they will make sure they get it to the proper people! I was told this by a Sprint rep _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

When I got my new phone from Verizon they took my old phone as a donation to a battered womens shelter. _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero
