I wanted to let the ones who are meeting at Basha's know that
Trish, Cindy and I will meet everyone at the Ren Faire at 10:00 am.

We are going to drive straight there. There are so many road closures out my
way that I would rather meet at the Faire so I don't delay the rest.

SEE YOU THERE!!!

FYI---
This morning I noticed a tent set-up on the south side of US60 at Superstition Mountain Drive. This usually means that there is a BIG event going at the Superstition Mountain Country Club/Golf Course. They park cars in the dirt and shuttle people in. I'm thinking this could slow traffic a bit on the way out to the Renaissance Festival. You might want to add a few more minutes to your travel time. Sorry I wasn't able to find any other details.

I believe the tent is in preparation for the LPGA Golf Tourney next weekend.
If you're interested there is a $2000 dollar a plate pre-tourney dinner and you have to comitt to another $3000 of spending at the auction, so for a minimum $10,000 a couple you can get in. Shocked Shocked Shocked Sounds like a AZhikers group event to me. By the way for dinner they are serving Chicken Courdunbleau (sp) purchased from COSTCO. That is no lie, I know someone helping put the event on Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Beam me up Beam me up Beam me up

I keep telling Todd and Mike that if they start charging a "small" fee to all the NEW people that are joining the site that little fee could fund our attendance at events like this one!

I'm afraid I wouldn't fit in to well, showing up right after a hike and telling the bartender to fill my 100oz Camelback with beer. Laughing Laughing Beam me up

10,000 per couple and they have set up beautiful blue port-a-potties, too!

I'm wondering just exactly how a pricey event like this could hold up traffic...I mean how many people can actually afford to attend...2 or 3? CRAZY
