I'm heading to Cold Spring canyon ruins this coming Saturday, May 2nd. It's a short but rigorous hike. Depending on who goes and time we could also hit Pueblo canyon. _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |

Turned into a solo run so I hit both sets of ruins. It was nice and cool under the canopy and just a little warm in the sunny spots. Photographed my first Arizona Black Rattlesnake. I knew it was a crotalus but not the rest of it. Stopped in at Goldfield Ghost town to check with Zack. He identified it and I spent some time chatting with him and his wife. Nice couple. I also stopped to let a herd of javelinas pass by. There were about 10 of them including two piglings.
Photos are in the gallery. http://www.arizonahikers.com/forum/modules.php?set_albumName=albuy55&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |

Nice pics! I'm a Kansas hiker that loves Arizona & Utah for the natural scenery and ruins. I will add a visit to this area to my bucket list. Thanks for posting.
