We had an awesome day!! On Veteran's Day I took the kids and one of their friends up to the Water Fall Trail on Fossil Creek. It was a perfect sunny afternoon. We came in from the north west, Camp Verde. The road was rough but we borrowed my father-in-laws expedition so it was ok. The water was cold, too cold for me but the kids played in it and Ace ended up falling down . The trail partially up FR 708 and partially creek side, was relatively clean. Thanks to the kids; Ashley, Ace and Gavin, they carried out more than they carried in. The place was not crowded although a female peeing in TH parking lot showed off a little more than she bargained for that afternoon. What's so hard about walking off into the woods?!? Anyway--the water was pristine as always and the kids mentioned what a great time they had on the hike--the next day. Score a couple points for Dad on that one
Overall, the place is remaining really clean. All the old campsites a cleaned up. Creek side hiking offers many fun adventures but is not a horrible thorny obstacle course and with the aquarium clean water; this is a great hike for young and more experienced alike... _________________ All our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them...Walt Disney |
