I was looking at the clouds and rain and think it is probably a great time to see Reavis Falls. They should be outstanding the next few days.
The plan is to meet in the Fry's shopping parking lot at Idaho and Apache Trail. We'll leave there at 7am, carpool to the TH opposite Apache lake and have a nice hike.
This is a strenuous hike, 13.8 miles round trip with about 3100 feet accumulated elevation gain. With the rain, the falls should be spectacular but the climb out will be muddy and tougher than during dry weather. There are some options for a lesser hike. There is a sinagua ruin that makes a nice stopping point.
I'll check back this evening for interest. Here's a link to the HAZ description. http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=99 _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |
