Todd, thank you for the offer of the ride. I just unregistered. I was just reminded today of a commitment I made a while back for the same time and day.
You all have a safe and fun time!! I will check back on the trip report to see what I missed. _________________ All our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them...Walt Disney |

I am sure most have you by now have noticed the forecast of rain. Could rain the whole hike, could rain for just a bit. So come prepared! Let's hike! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

It looks like Ambika may not make it which means we don't have a 4WD for the drive to the TH. I don't know that we would need a 4WD as I think Tonto could handle it though I worry about the deep sand or if it decides to rain hard.
So in case Ambika can't make it, I was wondering if anyone could meet us at the WalMart off of Estrella Pkwy and we could follow you or vis versa? We (Linda and I) could meet at 7:30 which should get us to the TH by 9? _________________ Angela from N Phoenix |

Kerim, we will be meeting at the Wal Mart on Estrella parkway if you want to meet there. You can also meet us at our house if you want. We'll be leaving around 6:45 AM tomorrow morning.

Hi everybody! Long time didn't see you. How are you, my friends?
We would like to join to hiking.
Last time (may be two weeks ago) we trailed on Camelback Mountain. Exactly before closing this trail for hiking. Trail was just wonderful. |

I was really looking forward to doing this one again, but the weather will be far chillier than I like for it (even without rain), so no go for me. |

oops.
It's raining here now.
Never can sleep good before a hike it seems. Plus when I hear rain, I like to move my potted plants from the porches to where they can have nature's water.
If the rain continues, that could mean difficult road conditions and slick rock.... _________________ Angela from N Phoenix |

We are heading to TH rain or shine. Join us if you will. I NEED to hike. AZH hikers have hiked all day in the rain before. They are only calling now for a chance of showers. I can deal with showers. _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

and Diane gets to complete a hike from her wish list, hooray! Yep, it was a great day in spite of the wind and in spite of the sun that refused to stay out for more than a minute at a time except at the beginning.
Tony kicked a little pumpkin today too and Linda & Todd got to revisit this awesome hike.
It was so fun to hear and watch Diane: first when the sun momentarily lit up the bling along the trail toward the top of the Peak (she got flashed ) and then as she rounded the corner to see the giant pieces of quartz staring her in the face.
Such fun, great GHOTM. Thx for putting it together and thx Tony for driving.
PS Todd and Diane waited for me from time to time on the way down .... yes the way down. I got distracted each time the sun would come out for 30 seconds and have to take a picture... or two . It wasn't necessary but very thoughtful so thank you. I should have told you go ahead. _________________ Angela from N Phoenix |

Folks you have got to sign up for these group hikes of the month! It was a PERFECT day! Wonderful views, great trail, amazing company and I think the Mexican Restaurant was Raul's and Theresa's in Goodyear, AZ. Delicious food.
Thanks everyone for a magnificent day!
