Hello all. This is my first activity here on this website - yahoo! Anyway, I was thinking about doing a trip to hike Roger's Canyon in January. Possibly the 17th. As the books mention a need for high clearance vehicles, I figured we could meet close and carpool to the trailhead in a couple of trucks. I don't have one. I kow a couple of others mentioned they did. Could you all let me know if you are interested? And if you have an oh-so needed "high clearance vehicle". I may not check back here immediately as I have quite a deadline this week, but you could post me a message to let me kow and I could get back to you all.

Thanks. Can't wait to hear from you!

Planning to hike:

Aprille
Hooli
Kurthzone
GTG & Messami - traveling in high clearance with room for more.
HikerinGilbert
Sherileeaz
Mike

You obviously aren't taking the warnings about the Hooli seriously are you?... maybe you should look at the fingernail marks embedded in the passenger hand grip handles of each vehicle before deciding...I'm sure there's some in the :pinkjeep: !

Aprille, somehow I got your place in the pink jeep, so now there are more fingernail/fingerprint marks in the hand grip, roll bar, upholstery, etc. They should have been your's! Next time we'll get the vehicles/risk-taking levels sorted out (Hooli wasn't even going to give me a seat belt, until I ripped the rear seat up and found that unused device cowering underneath...).

Thanks for organizing and now that you know... hope you want to hike with us again!

Sounds like it was a great time. The pics are awesome. There use to be an old beer bottle laying next to the horse bones, which made for an run of imagination on how the bones ended up there.
That part of the trail seems pretty hairy for a horse.

Just posted a hike description in the appropriate forum, and posted a few of my pictures.

I'm very disappointed generally in my pictures. The sunlight coming in the cave was very bright and in the wrong spot. My flash was working, but didn't seem to overcome the light level discrepancies.

Looks like I'll have to do the hike again in spring when the sun is higher in the sky.

Which will be a major bummer. Cool
