Are you traditional water bottle hiker or are you a camelback style water bladder hiker? |

MSR Dromedary water bags solved my water carring issues. I have a ~100 oz one and never leave the TH without at least that full. _________________ The bear went over the mountain to see what he could see. |

I've been a big proponent of bladders...but I just had my first one spring a leak at the beginning of a hike! Now I'm not sure where I stand, that would have really upset me if it happened half way through (and it was summer).
Mine was a platypus, 1L (short hike), that sprang a pin prick hole right on the middle of the plastic weld seam at the bottom. I would suspect the stiff plastic just worked back and forth on a kink in the bag and that's what caused it...but this is only the 4th time I used the bag! I bought it at Popular, does anyone know what the return policy would be for this? |
