AWC Burro Creek Hike, Pt 2 - and camping

DECEMBER 18 - 10am hike time (at campground, off of hwy 93)

Explore beautiful Burro Creek from the campground to Six Mile Crossing. This time of year is particularly lovely with changing leaves and cooler temps. Catch a glimpse of the area's renowned wild burros; check out some fascinating geologic features; learn about the history of the land; or simply find a quiet spot and take it all in.

This is an moderate - difficult hike, depending on your level of experience. Bushwhacking will be involved, as well as boulder-hopping. This will be an explorer's hike. Even if hiking the area isn't for you, you can use your time for birdwatching, photography, or quiet reflection.

Please pack lunch, snacks, 3+ liters of water, and be sure to wear hat, long sleeves/pants and a sturdy shoes.


FOR THOSE DRIVING: Let's meet at 10am at the Burro Creek Campground, which is just off of HWY 93 (there is a sign). Info about the campground:
