I just saw a post on DesertUSA that Jim passed away. He's been battling lung cancer. I was lucky enough to be able to do a few hikes with him and hear some of the old stories. _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |

Jim was not a member of this board that I know of. He was one of the main Dutchman hunters. He was one of the men featured in the A&E special on the Lost Dutchman mine. I hope he now has the answers to the puzzles he was working on and can rest in peace. _________________ It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan |

That's too bad about your friend. A relative of mine died last month of the same thing.
I like your Carl Sagan quote... |

Oh, George.......that's so sad. I had corresponded with him over this last year. I know he spoke very highly of you. He was a good guy with a wealth of knowledge. He will be missed. |
