I am anxious to get up to my favorite car camp spot which is up on the rim road (300) but I am concerded that it is still snowy. Anyone know what the conditions are like up there right now _________________ "It should not be denied... that being footloose has always exhilarated us. As of the 23rd according to the FS website -
Closed:
FR 300 - due to snow drifts, mud and fallen trees
FR 613 - also
FR 123 - also
and FR 230
Doesn't say exactly where, obviously.
I heard there is still a foot or more of snow at Happy Jack and other locations, drifts not considered part of report. |

Hwy 261 from Eagar to Big Lake OPEN. Hwy 273 from Sunrise to Big Lake still closed. There are still great big patches of snow up there.
Mt. Baldy and Sunrise still completely, totally deep in snow. |

As I gaze off into the far distant future and rub my magic crystal ball I see no rain, Phoenix temps about 95, Pine temps 75 to 80 and Rim temps (at about 7,500 feet) of 70 to 75 - a great place to be. Of course, that could be all wrong. _________________ Become a skilled GPS user and it will set you free! |

Water good up there? I am thinking yes after the rain we had this past spring. _________________ Anne

All the creeks are running and all the lakes are full. We were at 200+% over normal. |

I was up there last weekend and the temp was perfect but very windy! Still awesome though. _________________ "It should not be denied... that being footloose has always exhilarated us.
