Lets see if we can camp along FR522. The early bird(s) will have to see if they can snag a campsite from the 10 available!

What time are folks planning on heading out ?

That sounds like a good plan to me. I'm thinking of heading up Friday evening, if I can get everything ready in time, but it might be Saturday morning too. I'll know more in a few days... Confused

Well, due to a vehicular issue I may only be able to join you all on Sat night, it depends on how things go on Sat.

If I don't happen to make it, hope you all have a fun time and I'll catch you next time.

Diane and I have decided rather than trying to find people and set up camp in the dark tonight, we will meet everyone at the trailhead parking area around 9-ish tomorrow morning. Looking forward to this!! Hiking

Yeah, sorry we missed you too. It was a bit more rain (and lightning) than we had bargained for, but not a total loss...we were able to introduce Angela to a "group drive of the month" and we checked out several local shops, had lunch at Beaver Street Brewery Beer , and finished off with a urban loop "hike" Hiking (and challenge course) at Buffalo Park (in the rain)...

Best of all, we got to spend the day with friends we hadn't seen in awhile!! Hug

And that's what it's really all about anyway! So, all in all, it was a good day! Agree

Bummer, sorry to hear it got so wet up there. Around here? Nada.

Got my truck straightened out, but thought better of driving all the way up there.

Glad it sort of worked out.

Here, Here!!!!!!

And since no one got to hike this weekend that means you all have to go with us to Wilderness of Rocks next weekend. Tracy has found a decent camping area on Mt Bigalow that she will soonly be providing directions to and the Mount Lemmon/Lemmon Rock Loop sounds like just the hike we are looking for. Provides a challenge for us all but not incredibly long nor incredibly hard! We are bringing my son-in-law to show him how it's done!
Come one, come all and bring your friends!

Thank you for the indoctrination to my first GDOTM. You all continue to surprise me. It was great to see how you could make the most of a non-hike into a great time. Hope to see you on the TRAIL Laughing in the near future.

Ambika, where are all the pictures you took?? You were the only one with a camera, I think.
