AZH Climb to Conquer Cancer, Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010

For you who may not know, this American Cancer Society fund raiser is an easy 5+/- mile hike up the mountain in Phoenix's South Mountain Park, the largest munincple park in the country. If we have a wildflower season at all, this is usually the peak for this locale.

This will be our third (?) year at this, come on out and join in a worthy hiker-cause. As usual, let's walk up with the thousands, then hike 2+/- miles down the back trail. And what would hiking be without eathing, so we'll have lunch at The Farm afterwards.

Well, those look pretty darn nice there..I think Jeans pretty much go with everything !

As of 6 PM Thursday:

Saturday: A slight chance of showers after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. East southeast wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Not AZ Chamber of Commerce weather, but probably ok. We'll be at or heading to The Farm by 11, right?

Hope so cause I am telling Todd and my Daddy and my daughter and her family to meet us there by approx 11:00 or soon there after! YAY!!!! I am excited!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at 7 tomorrow morning! Not sure if I will be joining you all for lunch afterward or not. But it will be great to hike for a worthy cause with all of you!

Had a great time yesterday!!! Thanks every one for sharing the morning with me! That walk always feel so good! Kinda cold at the top but thank goodness it wasn't raining! Came home and cooked and had family over for dinner and games... laughed so hard my tummy hurt! It was a good day!

Sounds like you all had a Great time. Was thinking of you that morning looking up at the sky, little cloudy and cool but was supposed to clear up by midday. Glad it didn't rain for you and by Noon it was Sunny!
