AZH Climb to Conquer Cancer, Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010

For you who may not know, this American Cancer Society fund raiser is an easy 5+/- mile hike up the mountain in Phoenix's South Mountain Park, the largest munincple park in the country. If we have a wildflower season at all, this is usually the peak for this locale.

This will be our third (?) year at this, come on out and join in a worthy hiker-cause. As usual, let's walk up with the thousands, then hike 2+/- miles down the back trail. And what would hiking be without eathing, so we'll have lunch at The Farm afterwards.

Be sure to enter your T-shirt size if you want one. Any artsy submission for the team shirt logo will be appreciated, otherwise we'll use the same script version of ArizonaHikers.com as before.

Unfortunately I don't think I'm gonna be able to make this year. I didn't sign up, but just put a donation under AZH for the cause. If anything changes by 27Feb, I'll just add my name to the list and show up.

That was the year of the ugly green t-shirts! I'm signing my kids up so we get the required 10 for the t-shirts, don't know what the color scheme is this year. Art work is due this week.

I'm told the t shirts are "pretty" this year. For you guys maybe not the best description but at least it won't be ugly green! They must have gotten those on sale!

I hope you think so but don't get your hopes up. I saw one today when I dropped off the art work--orange/pink???? But I'm kind of color blind.

Oh Orange or Pink isn't bad. Well Pink for guys? But Orange you could be a Construction worker look or Crossing Guard look... or Pink hmmm. well a Pink Rose Wink
