Friday Sat Sun -- I have room booked for Fri/Sat @ Willcox.
I am booked on an allday Photo Workshop on Saturday but am open with all my other plans

Registeration fee goes up tomorrow

This was an absolutely FABulous event. I am still slightly giddy over it. If you've checked out the website, you can see the various events/tours that are scheduled.

While Ambika was on the all day (5:50AM to 4:00PM) photography tour, I did the Ft Bowie Saunter (of course, sauntering is PERFECT for me) and it was a real treat. We had a naturalist along and a bioligist so there was lots to learn while you enjoyed this wonderful area between the Dos Cabezas and the Chiricahuas.

The next day we did the the Wetlands to Woodlands Tour, the highlight being the time we spent at the private Cochise Stronghold Ranch. This is only the second year the new owners have allowed Wings to come in. The new owners came to hold the property in 2005 and have decided to preserve it since it is in such an untouched state. I did a little hike to the west of the property where Rockfellow Dome stood high above.

At the Willcox Community Center they also had various booths and on the stage, there were two different groups with live birds including an eagle, burrowing owl, peregrine, kestrel, owl, hawk, and blue heron among others. It was quite fascinating and fun to be so close to the animals we see from afar in the wild.

I highly recommend this event, even though it caters to "birders", they offer so much more.
