Who wants to play!? Todd and I will host a holiday party on December 19th 5 PM - ? for anyone interested. We will plan it just the same as we always have with the gift exchange and the pot luck and the friends and the good times. We have a pile of wood that could last all week for the fire pit!

Sorry there was not a poll for the date but this is the only date we have open in the month of December! Sure hope you can all make it. If not we will miss you and Santa will make sure no one says anything naughty about anyone who is not here or else ther will be coal in them there stockings!!

I will start a food list if anyone wants to throw something out there!

PM us for directions and address.

Food!

Todd and Diane -smoked something haven't decided yet
Jaimi- balls of meat
Linda- veggie tray
Ambika-Indian Rice Pulao
tibber- 14 different kinds of yummy cookies
wanderingsoul- stuffed mushrooms and something else still not sure what.
Tom and Tracy- smoked pork ribs and some Calico beans for a side.
Oliver99- fruit salad
RedRoxx44- a bottle of some sort of holiday libation

I'm planning a hike the morning of the party in the White tanks. From what I have read it's a loop between 9-10 miles. Anyone interested in joining me?
Linda

here a map of the hike:

Sounds nice Linda, would have enjoyed, but already have a committment that morning/mid-afternoon. Hope you have a great time. I need to get with you to schedule something. I'm sure you could show me around a few places there Mr. Green

Hoping to make it to the party this time, on time for a change, rather than straggling in late Embarassed

just got back from the cookie exchange. There are 14 different kinds of yummy cookies to choose from. See you Saturday nite.

Should I bring some sort of salad like potato or cole slaw?

Linda, I think Ambika and I are going to do the shorter but quicker elevation hike to Tom's Thumb. If that changes, I'll let you know.

Do we need to bring a gift, I am assuming, for the gift exchange? Just wondering how this works so I am prepared!

If you want to participate in the gift exchange, then yes, bring a hiking-related gift. I think in past years its been a linit of $20.00 - $25.00 limit on the gift. Bring it wrapped with no name on it. When you arrive, leave your gift under the tree. When the gift echange starts, numbers are drawn. First number goes and chooses a gift and opens it. Number 2 person can steal first gift or pick a new gift. Rules say a gift may not be stolen more than 3 times. Mae sense? It can get very funny and intersting sometimes when peole get gift envy.

Ok, so I will bring a fruit salad. Not sure if I will be able to stay for the gift exchange, but just in case, I will shop on Saturday for it.

Due to a tiny scheduling glitch I won't be able to make the party. I know the party will be a pile of fun. I will anxiously await the posting of pics and details from the gift exchange.
Merry Christmas!
