I didn't take my camera either, the pools have changed since 96. No real need to swim through them like back then.

Sorry we missed every one! Em just couldn't tolerate the heat we ended up with so we hiked in a little ways and played in the water for a little while and ate our little lunch of PB&Js and oranges and carried Em on out. She had an OK time but did not hestitate to tell us she liked the hike we did last year better. That was the West Clear Creek hike we took her on. She liked climbing on the rocks on the hill and the fact that there was a lot more shade there.

Don't blame her. There were grandparents hiking in with two small children, I don't know how far they went, but the litle girl had RED cheeks. I hope they did ok. Sorry we missed you to, but understandable.

Yeah---it really was too hot. We were all looking forward to seeing you guys and keeping an eye out for you (and Todd's duct tape) but totally glad you opted for plan "B".

I was glad you did the alternate plan. I was worried fifteen minutes into the hike that without shade it would be too much for her. I had picked up a little squirt bottle for her that I gave to one of the little ones we passed as we walked out of the trail. Sorry I missed meeting Em...I'm sure I'll have another chance!

I should have a couple of pics.
I haven't looked at them yet.
Like tibber, though, I don't yet know how to post them up here.

Do I need to have some type of special permission to post them.???.

Suz & Sande thanks for riding with me, I was glad to drive.

Nice meeting everyone Laughing

I wish I could put some more of the screen names here with real names and faces.

Thanks for the fun.!!!.
Dan

AMEN to that, remembering one name/face is tough enough.

Thank you Todd and Susan. I will post later tonite... if all goes well.

Now I know Dan is Zarff... otherwise I wouldn't have known if he hadn't posted. But don't you love a good mystery Very Happy like Shawn for example....no picture, hmmmm.
However, I may meet Shawn on an upcoming trip and I'm really looking forward to meeting the one and only "desertgirl" now that I've met the one and only "Suzaz".

It was scaring the younger folks so we had to take it down.

Had a blast..nice to see and hike with everyone! Mr. Green I always learn something new (or at least am reminded of things) when hiking. Like these....

Bring duct tape when you are with Suz.
Hiking teenagers always seem to lack intelligence.
Suz IS an Iron Woman (I knew it, but confirmed it)
Mossy rocks in creekbeds never get less slippery as you go Crazy
Your vehicle in the valley is always hotter than the hike when you get back.
Being with hiking buddies and swimming rocks!

Nice to meet some folks I have not met before. Thanks to Dan for driving and getting us there and back safely. He had to put up with Suz and I and our lively chatter...so need not say anything other than he gets an honorary Iron Man award just for that. Very Happy
