How about this for late October?

Short loop is ~9 miles, longer is ~12 with some route finding requirements.

You could camp at willow springs if you hiked it all in, there is a little camping area at the TH though, if my memory serves me correctly. It is a good drive out, but like Scott said, you probably wont see anyone else.

There is trail head camping but the only facilities I'm aware of is a very old out house which may or may not still be there. Fire ring as I recall, that's about it. There's water a few hundred yards in on the trail.

Pick a date, later is good for me, it could still be kind of warm earlier.

How does that work? Drive up and do the hike on Saturday, then have a potluck campfire weiner roast? How about Oct 24-25?

Juat a thought ...
The Oct 17-18 & 24-25 weekends might conflict with the Fall AMC Climbing class.
If anyone was planning on doing that.

Hope this helps!

Hey Shawn - Can you turn on the registeration & make this an Event ( basically repost). That way we can keep the logistics etc in the same place and this will show up in the Events Calender....

OR GTG can move this thread to Events and we will all be good.....
