Im thinking about going to Zion to do the Angel's Landing trail whilst in the Vegas area this summer...
Anyone been there, done that?
Advice?
Talk me out of it? |

It's a great hike so you have to do it. October/November is better than summer for avoiding heat and massive crowds. Still busy in October but not too bad. Till end of October you must use a free shuttle bus to the trailheads. After that you can drive to the trailheads.
Last year I went there in December and had to deal with snow but I like that to some extent. Very light crowding then. _________________ Become a skilled GPS user and it will set you free! |

Piece-o-cake. We timed our hike to be there at sunset and hiked down in the dark...of course we were off the exposed part before dark but did the rest with headlamps. |

It is a great hike -- there is some exposure on the last section so just be prepared for it. Nothing major but something that makes you be a tad bid more careful!
Just don't format your camera card after shooting a great sunset and an awesome hike!!! Dunno if I will ever forget that prime piece of stupidity! _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries
