EVENT DETAILS

I'm thinking of doing this next Sunday, April 12. Anyone want to come along? ~16 miles, mostly down hill, will plan an early start.

Better that side of the road than the other . . . .

Yesterday we made it to the top, and had a good walk down. There was a stretch of road much further up the road that would have stopped us if we hadn't been stopped where we were. Deep ruts were still visible in what had been very deep mud.

Nice picture set. There are a half dozen other hikes in this area described on HAZ. This area is my favorite of all those on the route 87 corridor from Fountain Hills to Payson.

Thanks for the photos, Ambika! What an adventure! I love the area in Little Saddle Mountin where it opens up into a meadow with the stream; a sweet surprise. I have hiked that trail when it was really mucky and sloggy, but always pretty! Glad everyone is ok.
