I see that a bunch of you are hiking from Peralta to First Water tomorrow. I just saw on the NOAA site that they are predicting 20-30 MPH winds tomorrow. This may not bother most of you, but if you wear contact lenses, have allergies, etc etc, then you need to know this and plan accordingly.
Have a great hike, everyone! _________________ "...A man who knew that he had to do what he knew he had to do, and knew it!" |

Thanks Wiz, but we're hiking the 29th. Hopefully the winds will die down before then. _________________ [/size] |

Thanks for the info Wiz. I'm sure Tirsh's group will see the post.
It does get a bit dusty out there when the winds kick up. Not to mention anything else that gets kicked up.
Did everyone get their flu shots this year? Better hop on it... |

I heard most of the flu shots given in AZ this year didn't have the vaccination for the flu that they are guessing is going to hit the hardest. WHOOPS!
Thanks anyway for the alert, I'm doing Rodgers Canyon tomorrow. _________________

Ok what am I getting myself into AGAIN!!
Flying cholla??? Comb the big pieces out of where???? Do I even want to know???? -->
So is THIS what I waited all these months for so I could hike in the Supes? It seems each hike I'm on, something interesting occurs, we'll see if tomorrow is any different.

No matter what the weather it is always beautiful in the Supes. Any weather is fine with me and a little breeze is always welcome. Now 80 miles an hour like I have been in down in the Canyon that's a different story.
Will be off trail manyana enjoying the solitude and the beauty.
Matt is right about cholla, a wide tooth comb is the best.

Thanks! As you know I'm joking about the weather and all.

Found a wide toothed comb in the medicine cabinet and packed it "just in case". You guys might thank me for it tomorrow! Thanks for the tip, Matt. Wondering if a hair pick would work also..........hmmm.....we just might stow that in there too!
