I need one more (two to be safe) vote to make the calendar! Anyone want to give me the "winning" vote?
I don't know why I care so much. Perhaps I really love shameless self-promotion. _________________ "Your day-glo ballet days are over." Ancient chinese proverb.

Well you have to search for the calendar this morning, it's not on the front page from what I could tell a minute ago. Way to go Matt, way to slide into #12 |

Looks to me like the polls closed a few hours early. Or maybe they were closing at end of day yesterday. Regardless, I'll be buying one this year. Congratulations to all the excellent photographers and/or shameless campaigners _________________ The bear went over the mountain to see what he could see. |

This is just my opinion but I am not sure that that would be "PC". Joe puts a lot into this calendar thing and it is his thing. I wouldn't want to create a "compitition" between the two sites. Living in harmony on the great WWW is more important than an AZH calendar to me.
I make my own calendar every year and give it to my family (and now Todd's family) for Christmas. That is way fun and I use my own pictures from my own experiences. I have the binder thingie and print them on my own printer so they are my creations. My family loves them and looks forward to them every year.
May I suggest such an activity for anyone on this site who wants an AZH based calendar. Otherwise I say go over to HAZ and buy one of the calendars they are putting together. It looks like it is going to be beautiful! And if you have followed the process several of the pictures that will make the HAZ calendars were posted by some of our very own artists! Though I can't find it this morning and am disappointed cause I would love to know which pictures made it!!! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Click on Navigation in the upper righthand corner of the HAZ front page.
On the next page calendar status is listed top left. _________________ YLLAW |

Support Joe n' his hard work -- buy your 2009 Calenders from HAZ!!!!
The contributors overlap quite a bit that it hardly matters!
WE did try a few years ago -- but it got nowhere. HAZ polling is so much easier to get a listing of top images that appeal to a wide audience.
I love the way the overall picks turned out -- we even have 3 fauna and 1 flora ( well a leaf) in there !!! I'd say a fair balance.... _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

Plus that would be a lot of software work that I don't think Todd has the time to do to create a rating system like that.
The way I see it, we have the people/community....HAZ has the info, features and tracking. |

So is it final? Or do we have a recount, hanging chad, and Supreme Court rulings to go?
I sure liked the silohoette in the gloaming shot of the hikers on Flatiron. _________________ The bear went over the mountain to see what he could see. |

I liked Wally with the drink in the snow and the Santa cap. If I could arbitrarily chose one picture to make the calendar that would be it. _________________ Anywhere is within walking distance if you spend the time. |
