Awesome pics! I didn't realize you could hike up that high. I only did hiking at Rocky Mountian N.P and that was about 10500 I guess. I'd love to go up to 14000+. What area of Colorado were you in? Near?

I was in the San Juan Mountains in the Southwest corner of the state. We were just east of Lake City. Here is my trip report:

Lake City...sweet little town...watched the Bulls beat the Jazz in the NBA finals from a bar in Lake City. Slept that night at campsite next to the Colorado and watched a moose drink from the river not 20 feet away. What a wonderful memory...thanks for the flashback Steven.

Me too! Let's try to get some AzHikers together to "invade" Colorado! Let's plan something, people. Anybody want to go to really high places?

Great pics Steven, I lived in the San Juans for 4 years before moving here, and in Northwest Colorado, Steamboat Springs for about 40 years Beam me up Thanks for the trip home Exclamation
