Painted Desert Rendezvous - Nov. 8th and 9th

Alrighty, its fall so its time to start thinking of the next Painted Desert exploration and easy overnight backpack into the Petrified Forest or nearby environs. "Mountain Lion Mesa" will be a dayhike sortie with probably "accommodations" taking place in the southern wilderness northeast of Agate House. Possible side trip option to Chavez Pass Pueblo for those of your returning to Phoenix, as it is on the way between Holbrook and Strawberry.
Total of 8 folks for overnight. Dayhikers are welcome - they don't affect permit limits.

sounds like you all had a wonderful time. Maybe the Spring Rendezvous will work out for me this next go around. I will get there one of these times. Haven't looked to see if you have pics up yet. Guess I should go look at gallery before posting but I always seem to do it backwards. I'll get it one of these days.
