Thanks for sharing the great photos! That Via Ferrata route really looks fun too...

Stay safe, and enjoy!

Got in another hike today, not the adventure I was hoping for but laying in bed and extra couple hours seemed better than spending 7 hours in a car today.

I did manage to climb another peak and make it to a refugio I had been wanting to check out, it was closed so I couldn't get a beer though Sad

Feels great to be on the trail again!

Well we took a trip back to Budapest for a few days. Explored a cave for a few hours.

Explored a castle

Relaxed at a bath house

Checked out another castle

Drank a lot of wine

And enjoyed the scenery of this beautiful city

Yes Budapest was a wonderful time, it's our favorite European City.

While we were gone it snowed in our mountains so I decided to check it out. Didn't succeed in climbing the peak I wanted but made it half way before it got any more interesting. I got to break in the winter boots a bit in hopes for some big adventures next year.
The view from Base

My intended peak over my head

Helicopter landed on another peak for a minute or two

I was glad to get in a few climbs before winter hit, now to just find some friendlier grades w/o sheer drops for some winter climbing.

I am too Ambika, just hope they pan out. Mont Blanc possibly and some other hiking around the Dolomites are on my agenda. I actually have to use my 30 days of leave this year otherwise I start losing days, I don't see letting that happen Smile Was only able to take 9 days of leave last year, this place is stupid busy sometimes. Plus this will essentially be my last summer here as we will have to leave in June of the next year.

Well my Dad and his wife came to visit and we made a trip down to Rome. It's a rather impressive city with tons of history as you can imagine. Here are a few pictures.

It was a great trip and was a very busy 3 days.

Then we went up to Villach, Austria for a day.

Found some more mountains that I need to research as well.

The picture in Venice, Italy of you in front of the Gondoles (spelling) I have that same picture from 20+ years ago when I visited Italy. Of course yours looks a lot better.

Glad you're having a great time. Enjoy!
