Hi All -

My daughter and I recently returned from Peru where we hiked the Inca Trail to the ruins at Machu Picchu. Both the Andes Mountains and all the ruins were amazing. To read my trip report, go here:

Great pictures and trip report. Well documented. I went to Peru back in 2004 still looks the same and brings back quite a few memories, thanks. I would highly recommend going back and taking a trip throught the Amazon.

WOW! Those pictures were awesome. I am thinking, someday, about doing that trip. Last year I was fortunate to go to Chile. That was beautiful! I did buy an alpaca poncho from Chile, I got it really cheap, because of the location we were in. I was lucky. Of course, here in Arizona, I don't get to wear it that often.
Nice to know that the REI trips are great trips. Thanks for sharing!

Very cool. I've got so many hikes still to do here...it will be a little while before I start venturing on hikes outside of the country so I appreciate you sharing the pictures.

Very impressive and wonderfully written documentary of your trip. I never realized the numerous amounts of ruins there. I thought it was only a few buildings/walls at the top. Thanks so much for sharing your trip and pictures.
