They will also use a doggie door. Can you image a winter visitor returning to their 2nd home and finding out they left the doggie door unlocked. |

These were taken in the Tucson area on a mother's day hike, sent to me by a friend, of a friend, of a friend. Well you get the idea. I posted them because I have never seen anything like this and thought it would be interesting to share them. I have always heard about this occurring from my grandparents mostly but here it is. Imagine hiking the desert and running into this. I was looking closely at them and they seem to be different from each other as in different family or species, whatever. Black tails, and some red diamond back, and some western diamondback. Well enjoy anyway. |

I noticed that too.
Bummer. I would really have loved to see something like that. Hopefully someday I'll run into a similar situation. _________________ "Your day-glo ballet days are over." Ancient chinese proverb.

Wandering Soul I hiked out the Grand Canyon's S. Kaibab trail this past weekend. I was the one with the rattlesnake tattoo. |

Please Note: Scientists are detecting neurotoxic changes in the venom of rattlesnakes in some regions. For credible information that you probably ought to read, please check out the following document presented by the Colorado Herpetological Society---document wasn't found.
Hey I heard about this from 2 different people over the last couple of days....I guess there was an article in the paper....anyone catch it? |

That many different kinds of rattler didn't come together naturally. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. Crazy photo!
That article you posted was very interesting, Mike. I had no idea this was occurring. A friend was bitten 15 years ago on the Finger Rock Trail by a Mojave rattler, had to be airlifted out. She described similar symptoms, but then, everyone has always said the Mojave has the real neurotoxin in its venom. I wonder if the Mojave's venom has also gotten worse--that would be scary.
