Very Happy I just have to thank everyone for the advice and encouragement I received from many of you! I hiked into the Canyon last Friday - on Saturday we went to Ribbon Falls and then on Sunday we hiked out!! AWESOME!! I loved every minute of it! The weather was great and canyon was so beautiful! My tent, sleeping bag, and pad worked fine! Thanks for all of your help! Annie Laughing

LOL. Just wanted to share how beautiful it is.

Patches, I took the low trail and forged the creek to get there. It was not a real good idea, but made it safe and sound and yes the water was cold, deep and muddy. It was a total transition at the falls with the crystal clear, refreshing water. I have some pictures standing under the water on the upper level. It was awesome as you say.

Wow that is beautiful... Sometimes I just sit and think of the places I've seen here and tell myself places like this really do exist. I could never imagine places such as this, and in the GC. You see it from the top but never really see it until you venture in.
Glad you had a great trip and enjoyed.

Hank addicted to GC.. can't be true, really? Laughing

I was at Ribbon 2 weeks ago. I haven't had time to do a t/r or add photos, but I did Indian Garden (finally got to do Plateau Pt), BA camp for 2 nights with Ribbon Falls day hike in between. Lots of flowers in bloom.

Heat: BA Creek did not look crossable when we were there, lots of snow melt according to the ranger.
