Hiked Sabino and Bear canyons yesterday using the tram to stop 4 (as far as it goes) and hiking up Sabino, across on the East Fork trail and down Bear Canyon to tram stop 3 and we took it back to the visitor center. That was a moderate 13.6 miler.
Some photos are posted in the gallery. You will see stop 9, the old last stop in the first picture. The good news is that it is scheduled for re-opening late this August. You will see in the other pictures that you get about 4 miles of fabulous wild flowers right now starting at stop 9 for 1 1/2 miles and then for another 2 1/2 miles or so when you get to where you see the switchbacks down to 7 falls. On a hike to 7 Falls it would be good to go up the switchbacks and go for a mile or so to get the full impact of the wild flowers along that part of the trail.
Weekdays, the tram only goes to stop 2 because work crews are in the canyon.
A very nice hike right now. |

Thanks Joe, have only done 2 trails in this Canyon. Never realized that there could be flowers along the 7 Falls trails, but what do I know. The pics were very nice. Would like to check this out, it looks pretty. _________________ Wanderingsoul (Michelle)
