Off to Death Valley and surrounding for about 9 days.
Planned destinations--more hiking around Ibex dunes, Saratoga spring area; return to Striped Butte Valley and the cabins, 4X4 trip up on Panamints--Pleasant Canyon South Park loop if FJ can make "chicken" corner and the bridge--- mainly this one to hike to Porter Peak and make a run to the Weston's old cabin at the head of Happy Canyon.
Want to get to Nevares springs to see the travertine.
Then back to Saline Valley to hike into the Inyos to the control tower for the Tram and a coupla mines. Prolly out Steel Pass or Lippincott then off to who knows where.
Brian and I have about 400 feet of rope between us so anticipate some mine shaft descents too( i guess for behaving myself's sake, the mines we are looking at are not in the park---).

When the Man waked up he said, "What is Wild Dog doing here?" And the Woman said, "His name is not Wild Dog anymore, but the First Friend, because he will be our friend for always and always and always. Take him with you when you go hunting."
