I have an opening on a Grand Canyon permit I have for Oct. 11 - 15, 2007. Our permit is for Upper Tapeats, At Large Camping. We will be doing some exploring of Upper Tapeats Canyon and visit some remote waterfalls that have received very little camera exposure. We may go to Tapeats Cave and the source of Tapeats as well. We will hike out from Tapeats to the North Rim in ONE day. This is a difficult hike. To quote the NPS on my permit -
"NOTE: EXCESSIVELY DANGEROUS HIKE! Hiker Insisted on itinerary!"

Now this hike is definitely not "EXCESSIVELY DANGEROUS" but it will kick your Hooli hard.

Here's our itinerary -
10/10/07 - Drive to North Rim and camp
10/11/07 - Hike down to Upper Tapeats campsite
10/12/07 - Upper Tapeats
10/13/07 - Upper Tapeats
10/14/07 - Upper Tapeats
10/15/07 - Hike Out

We have an opening for ONE STRONG HIKER, let me know if you're interested.

Thanks,
GTG

Wish that I could go, but the plant is in an outage and I can not get off. This was I my first trip in to the canyon and a favorite. I told my wife that hiking in to the canyon was a once in a life time thing before that trip. Very Happy
