I took a couple of buddies down to the cliff dwellings at the bottom of Roger's Canyon - the trail needs a bit of maintenance.

One of the things I had forgotten about before doing that trail:

I hate catclaw. Really hate. Hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...
hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...
hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...
hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...
hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...
hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...
hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate...hate.

I'm pretty sure they are the devil's gift to humanity.

I saw George on the trail, and he wasn't looking too happy about the abundance of the stuff on the trails he'd been on either.

But, other than turning my arms and legs into hamburger, it was actually a pretty good hike - TONS of butterflies everywhere and greener than you would expect for this time of year.

Which, of course, didn't help in the catclaw area.

Did I mention that I hate catclaw? Well....just in case you were wondering: I do.
