Looks like a Swainson's Hawk to me. _________________ ~~~Trish~~~

I have seen a similar bird on Peralta Trail. A speckled snow feather hawk... just teasing. I don't know my birds, but it sounded good. _________________ You can never eat too much candy... |

Mike, I think you are correct....and good to "see" you.
Here is a matching image that I found online.
The one on my fence was watching us in the house and the picture was taken through the window. I know their vision is good but I just read that it is 8 times as good as a human's and they can see a mouse from a mile away. I have been finding a lot of shredded "parts" in the yard....and had hoped it wasn't Sadie doing it. I also hoped this beauty wasn't drooling over my turtles! One website stated: In the rare case of an individual raptor or hawk that engages in active predation on domestic birds or animals, such a bird may be judiciously removed in accordance with current regulations.
I certainly love watching them soar---56 inch wing span and all but this clean up is disgusting! |

If you look in the gallery a little over three years ago you will find pictures of Elijah I believe....since then he has grown like a weed. We keep hopong Daddy will come home to the site and come out and play with us again! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

I was playing Diane. I'm very familiar with Mike. I've been wondering about him as I am wondering about Heat.
So nice to see you Mike. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. Whales and elephants, dancing, humming gnats, and invisibly small mischievous microbes - all are warm with divine radium and must have lots of fun in them." John Muir |

It does look like a bit of a fire hazard in that picture, you would think the fire department out here would be ALL OVER that.................. |

'Hi Mike!
No. I had cable connected for a couple weeks a month or two ago but had it disconnected again. I just don't watch TV at all. Why do you ask? _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play.
