Mrs Mike and I will be participating in the "Walk For Hope" on Sunday, October 5th. Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer is a family-oriented walk and run - including 5k/10k timed events and leisure Walks - to support breast cancer research, treatment and education at the City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute. Both of our mothers are breast cancer survivors and we lost a good friend to breast cancer last year, so we're doing the walk in their honor. Mrs Mike will be walking as part of her employer's team. I have registered separately and created an ArizonaHikers.com team, as well. If you'd like to join the team and participate in the walk, or make a donation, please visit our Team Site. Information about the Walk can be found here.
Thanks!
Mike |

Cool! BTW, I checked the numbers earlier tonight and of 110 teams, the ArizonaHikers.com team was tied for 32nd place in total donations. Not Bad! I'm sure with you guys joining us, we just moved up at least a couple of spots! Well have to all try to hook up next Sunday!

Mike, I am running both the Walk for Hope and The Race for the Cure. Do every year. As a survivor this is near and dear to me. I believe my daughter has already registered us both. I will check and if not we will sign up on the team. |

Would love to join you but Friday Dew and I are gonna jump in the Z4 and head for California Hot Springs and spend a few days enjoying uncle's hospitality. _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

Dew's driving, hopefully!
I'd like to do the cancer hike but Sunday is my youngest's birthday. I'll be a total slave for the weekend. _________________ ;o)> |

Ya live with a wife and six doughters for cryin' out loud! You're a slave 24/7/365 'cept on leap years when it's 24/7/366! _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

Actually it's five daughters. I do have a son. And it's not 24/7/365. You'll recall I wasn't a slave the weekend we did West Fork. Kinda like being inaccessible. _________________ ;o)> |

Hey Mike, Pat and I aren't going to be able to make it on Sunday. We were planning on doing the onsite registration, but have since discovered that financially we'd better hold off...we're doing the Race for the Cure with her whole family, and so we'd probably be better off not spending the extra cash in the same week.
Sorry Mike. _________________ -Colin
