Mrs Mike and I will be participating in the "Walk For Hope" on Sunday, October 5th. Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer is a family-oriented walk and run - including 5k/10k timed events and leisure Walks - to support breast cancer research, treatment and education at the City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute. Both of our mothers are breast cancer survivors and we lost a good friend to breast cancer last year, so we're doing the walk in their honor. Mrs Mike will be walking as part of her employer's team. I have registered separately and created an ArizonaHikers.com team, as well. If you'd like to join the team and participate in the walk, or make a donation, please visit our Team Site. Information about the Walk can be found here.

Thanks!
Mike

Mike, I am running both the Walk for Hope and The Race for the Cure. Do every year. As a survivor this is near and dear to me. I believe my daughter has already registered us both. I will check and if not we will sign up on the team. Cool

Dew's driving, hopefully!

I'd like to do the cancer hike but Sunday is my youngest's birthday. I'll be a total slave for the weekend.

Actually it's five daughters. I do have a son. And it's not 24/7/365. You'll recall I wasn't a slave the weekend we did West Fork. Kinda like being inaccessible.

Hey Mike, Pat and I aren't going to be able to make it on Sunday. We were planning on doing the onsite registration, but have since discovered that financially we'd better hold off...we're doing the Race for the Cure with her whole family, and so we'd probably be better off not spending the extra cash in the same week.

Sorry Mike.
