I put this together for my friends who went hiking with me in Tuolumne Meadows. When I heard the music (it's a very old classic!) I thought of all of you and your GHOTM. You will just have to imagine your own pictures from your own adventures while you look at mine. Hopefully the music starts with the first title other wise the sequence is a bit off. (Not sure why it delays sometimes. If the music does not start with the first caption X out and reclick the link. That seems to work.) Someday I hope to say to you..."Lovely to see you again my friends!"

Hmmm...it works for me, but maybe it picks up my email as the owner. I'll send it to you via email from dotphoto and maybe you can link it.

OK...I tried a different link...see if that works.

It works for me; very nice! Surprised at how little snow there is given the time of year!

A very light snowpack. Only about a third of normal. One of the reasons I backpack in July is the nice snowfields still in the mountains. I don't think that will be the case this year. Maybe that means less skeeters!

Last year Tioga Pass didn't open 'til June 17, the day I left; had to drive through Bakersfield and Fresno to get to the park a week earlier.

This was taken on the way out June 17:

You can probably tell me the lake's name.

Last year was awesome! I think the lake is Tioga. I'll be there in Sept for a volunteer event and then hiking up Mt. Dana.

OK, that does it! I'm gonna be in Alameda County from Oct. 12 'til 22 for the Basenji Club of America's National Specialty and that may permit me spending the 22nd through the 26th at Wawona Campground on the way home. Just checked and they don't take reservations there after Sept., but figure I can get a spot OK. All depends on the weather. Checking Tioga Pass, on average it doesn't close 'til mid-November. And Wawona is just a five minute drive from the Meadow Trail, the only one in the park that allows dogs; so I can get Rich out for a good walk most mornings. Yeah, Yeah, I know "It's a golf course!" And you do cross one of the fairways to get to the Meadow TH, but from there you don't even see the golf course 'til you finish the four mile loop back at the Wawona Lodge. If weather forecast looks good when I leave Alameda Co., I can do it; if not, just head home on I-5 as originally planned.

If you do I'll run up there and buy you dinner at the Wawona Hotel! I'm sure Richie will want to show off the ribbons he won for training you so well! Smile

Groovy. and the Moody Blues are still one of the best live shows out there today.
