Tomorrow I get to head out for a couple of nights in Sequoia National Park. A quick peek at some of the giant trees and then up to Alta Meadow (9200 ft). It’s snowing today, but should be warm and sunny tomorrow! (warm being a relative word, but Sierra sunshine is a beautiful thing!) We are hoping to climb Alta Peak (11200 ft). It will depend on the snow because we are not bringing the snowshoes. With the snow pack at only 33% this year I think it will be doable.

There are cool views of the Great Western Divide in the Sierras. I’ll try and figure out how to post pictures when I get back.

Sounds great! I saw the Great Western Divide from the opposite direction last summer on the PCT (a one-week backpack.)

If you can't figure out the photo posting deal, just ask, someone will help you.

I hiked Sequoia and Kings Canyon many years ago. I need to get back there.
