Sunflower Market has a good selection of trail mix, granola, and dried fruit in their bulk foods section. I like their carob *energy* nuggets for the trail. The only downside is that you have to package everything yourself into ziploc bags. |

That's not a downside, it's wise. The commercial packaging it usually more than necessary, packing into ziplocks reduces weight and the empty ziplocks can be used for smelly trash, or TP or whatever. And they fit into a food bag very compactly. _________________ The bear went over the mountain to see what he could see. |

They also have one of my trail favorites, Thai Kitchen Instant Rice Noodle Soup in various flavors. They offer it in little packages that do not include the plastic bowl. I like that. They also have the some thing that includes a plastic bowl but that is just waste and adds weight and bulk. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

I know exactly what you are talking about. Those are really good! I just went to Sunflower and they have peanut butter filled pretzel bites in the bulk section. They are sooo good! |
