Second vote for the Gila, next would be the Escalante River system in Utah. _________________ You can rest when you're dead |

The Escalante gets another vote for me. How far are you planning on traveling from Glendale in the car, hour-wise? _________________ Anywhere is within walking distance if you spend the time. |

Early May you could do Grand Gulch from Bullet down to the San Juan River. 43.3 miles, 7 day min recommended. That'd leave you another couple days to come out Collins Canyon. Water might be getting a little scarce, though. Beautiful area. _________________ Anywhere is within walking distance if you spend the time. |
