We had a very serious downpour last night up here. Kapairowitz was totally socked in, unable to see it at all. Lots of lightning and thunder. Perfect evening for watching the rain fall and lighting hit the mesas from the porch, drinking some wine. _________________ Anywhere is within walking distance if you spend the time. |

Thank you for the great news! Locally, we got a major soaking up near Cave Creek on Friday. I'd say two inches easily looking at my pool. |

It was a hallofa flight all the way from Plainville Texas to Vegas. Serious weather. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. Rain again in the valley. Let's all send good vibes that it keeps up. The ceiling has been down to my level (23rd floor here at work) for awhile this morning and I can see showers to the south. Will need more of this if we are to have a wildflower season. _________________ The bear went over the mountain to see what he could see. |

The creeks are not flowing in the Supes as I expected. It seemed to soak in since it has been so long since it rained. I rode my horse around the Black Mesa Loop and then around and down to Hackberry Springs where he could finally get a good drink in a standing pool of the brown stuff. I thought there would be more than what we saw out there. I sure hope we get a couple more of these nice rains soon. There might be more in other areas of the Supes I suppose. _________________ And this our life, exempt from public haunt,

I was down south by Kelvin today, they had and inch and a quarter according to the rancher. No standing water but many wet spots and some fresh erosion in the washes. _________________ The bear went over the mountain to see what he could see. |

Tucson had a nice downpour on Thursday. We had the trails and picnic areas all to ourselves.

Raining on and off here in eastern AZ the past few days, but nothing like what PageRob has reported (on HAZ) for N.AZ--no torrential downpours or flooding. Forecast is for monsoon-like weather through the Memorial Day weekend, with showers starting mainly after 11 a.m. 60% chance today, 30% chance tomorrow and Monday.
It'll be good for us up here, it'll green things up a bit and also dampen down the early summer fire danger a little bit. Maybe not much fun for all the campers, though! |
