3rd annual Quartz Peak trek

This is in the preliminary planning stage.... But was thinking about a 3rd trip up to quartz peak.

Obviously it wouldnt be for several month, until the weather cools down.

For those not familiar, Quatrz peak is in the Estrella mountians and considered remote and difficult. The HAZ website has a description of the trail.

Basically its 2,500 feet in less than 3 miles.

Im just planting seeds today to see if anything grows.

Who all is going anyway? I haven't seen any confirmations, just interest, me included. As for me, I can easily fill my time this weekend with something else. I have tons of Christmas shopping left. If no one is commited to this yet why not change this to after the 1st since this was Bill's gig anyway? And yes, I'm being selfish here. It'd be much easier on me after the 1st. If not, who's still going? I'd like to go, time permitting. I have one of those 'wonderful' work Christmas parties to attend that night.

OK----I'm in now and depending on how much I like it, I could be again but no promises for round two yet.... I'll be leaving the Gilbert area Sat morning around 8am so if you are thinking car pool and live or can meet me somewhere in between, catch me before Thursday night 8ish. That can be up to 5 people.

I have a Christmas party the night BEFORE the hike Cindy, come play.... Twisted Evil

but do want to be back to town before late because of the Sand Expo that afternoon.

Well 5 of us showed. It was a good hike and was not as difficult as I expected. It was really good to get out again.
