This is in the preliminary planning stage.... But was thinking about a 3rd trip up to quartz peak.

Obviously it wouldnt be for several month, until the weather cools down.

For those not familiar, Quatrz peak is in the Estrella mountians and considered remote and difficult. The HAZ website has a description of the trail.

Basically its 2,500 feet in less than 3 miles.

Im just planting seeds today to see if anything grows.

Lets discuss days and transportation:

The only day I can go is a saturday. Im sure that is the best day for everone, no?

What about a way out there, anybody have a high clearance vehicle or a 4x4?

Dennisbench - I can drive this time, if you want to carpool to the meeting place in Estrella ranch.

I'm in.
I have a 4x4 Xterra.
I'll have room for 2 if Pat comes (maybe three if they squeeze)
I'll have room for 3 if Pat doesn't come (maybe four if they squeeze)
Sat or Sun is fine for me.

Dennis, didn't Cakewalk say he would never do this again? Just making sure I wasn't halucinating(sp).

I had a great time doing it last year also. I'm interested, but I need to start looking at dates. Saturdays are the best for me, for right now. How about Oct. 18 or 25?

Funny, thats what you said when you did Picacho Peak and last year you were inquiring about doing it again also. Just cannot stay off the difficult ones huh?
