Definitely looks like some interesting terrain and geology, but think I will by pass that part of the world for now. _________________ Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. |

Wow that was a heck of a story. I wonder what year that was! Definitely was a trip of a lifetime though. |

Ya gotta let a lot of years go by before you want to start telling a story like that. _________________ "Surely all God's people, however serious or savage, great or small, like to play. I'm going to take a wild guess and say this trip took place in the late 1970's. It was a great time to backpack and hutpack through the third world. Americans were well regarded most places.
I travelled through southeast Asia with a pack for almost a year in 1978 - 1979. Thank you for the post RedRoxx44 you brought back lots of fond memories even if they were in different place. Sort of like going to different high schools together. |

I love wild trips like this. The image of the two Bedouins that were bearing the tomatoes is just priceless, very strong. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

1994! That's fantastic. I'd like to do a trip around the world again, but next time ride inside the bus, not on the roof. |
