February Clinics
Snowshoeing for Women
The ease of snowshoeing has led it to become one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Simply strap on a pair and go on a winter hike, backpack, or climb! Join the staff of REI as we put on another one of our famous "how to" clinics on the basics of snowshoeing for women. We will focus on the appropriate selection of female-specific gear and the initial skills needed to get you outside and on the trails. In addition, we will talk about some places to go. If you ever thought about getting into snowshoeing, this is a great introduction to the sport!

Learn strategies for clothing systems, tents, snow shelters, cooking and living in the cold. And get ready for some winter camping this upcoming and snowy winter in the Arizona high country. This is the same clinic as that offered by the Arizona Mountaineering Club’s Alpine seminar series. So join us and learn from a pro how to survive and enjoy a great winter camping retreat!

What it takes to plan for the proper gear one will need for any type of weather and terrain conditions one will encounter on a trip of this magnitude. He will also discuss the people he met the friendships he forged and the spiritual connections that were formed!

Colin,
You might want to post these events in the calender as well as the forum. That's a feature of this site that I'm gonna go to often. _________________ ;o)> |
