Oh My HECK!

Heard a little thunder, looked outside and wow! Snow on the Superstitions about 2/3 of the way down.

Can you believe we have a HEAVY SNOW WARNING????

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF MORE THAN HALF A FOOT ARE POSSIBLE ABOVE 2 THOUSAND FEET WITH OVER A FOOT LIKELY ABOVE 4 THOUSAND FEET.

A HEAVY SNOW WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED.

So I got snowed on while hiking Camelback today. Well I didn't really do anything today but it would be a cool sight!

Yes, the clouds appear to have broken up and lifted. A few picture perfect cloud above the Superstitions. Yes, the mountain is still capped in snow. It's not down to the 2000 foot level anymore but it's still up there.

Nice pics Suz! I went out for some pictures at the Broadway TH this morning and it was just beautiful~~~~battery in my car went dead but a nice young man named Eric gave me a jump start. It's heartwarming to know there are still good samaritans out there.

Just drove out there this morining. Simply gorgeous.

I have a few pics - but I'm just dying because I can't go and hike it.

I'm hoping there will still be something there tomorrow that I can go and climb on.

Anyone interested?

I am! Just getting back and wondering why I decided to photograph today instead of hike!! I'll post some more pictures in a bit.
What shall we do? First Water, Flatiron, Peralta?

A couple of backpackers came out the Peralta trail and said they had overnighted and woke up to 12 inches of snow at Whiskey Springs. The parking lot at Peralta was pretty snowy. Guess they let you hike in the snow and mud in Pinal County. Wink

Suz, did you get any pictures today?

I drove around the corner from me where I usually have a view of the 4 Peaks, couldn't see them today. Did lots of snow in the Bradshaws and some up by Tom's Thumb in the McDowells.

Yes, I took a couple HUNDRED pictures, broke a few laws, got a ticket, and trespassed a bit. (again) But it was all about the pictures! The poolside view here is pretty darn incredible, too.

4 peaks got blasted! I thought you would be there today...what are you thinking?

The McDowells got a pretty good dusting too. Just got back from Tom's Thumb, I'll have pics up later today.
