While out for a sunrise hike observed a hawk that took flight at first light to show off its flying skills before me. I enjoyed the show when I noticed a cottontail rabbit not paying attention about 10 yards in front of me. The hawk noted the rabbit, banked and made a run for it. The rabbit was grabbed without effort and struggle. The hawk flew by me at abot eye level and dropped the rabbit near me. The rabbit appeared to be uninjured shook it off and bolted for cover. The hawk winged off doing lazy 8's up over a ridge and out of sight. |

That hawk is just a terrible show off. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."
