Well, this is technically an equipment and gear post - but I figure it can go here as well since this is definitely another outdoor activity.
For all you lazy star-gazers out there you will want to get one of these puppies.
Then there is this incredible new portable auto-calibrating star tracker. Apparently it will not only automatically orient itself, but it can automatically adjust to current light conditions and tell you what the top 10 most visible objects are under the current conditions. You can also plug it into the internet and it will point out things like visible satellites and such.
Extremely, undeniably cool. Probably really freaking expensive too.
Then, if you really want the full star gazing experience, I highly recommend checking out the Kitt Peak Observatory - they have star-gazing tours that you can pay for. Some of them look like a potentially incredible or even more incredible experience. They even offer classes.
I so want to do one of these with Caleb when he's just a little bit older. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

That actually looks like a pretty cool thing to do one night. |

Way cool.
I only see one problem - Does the chair have a beer holder that won't spill the beer when it tips back? Something on a gimbal maybe. I mean for $2,000 it should include all comforts. _________________ Anyone can make a hike harder. The skill comes in making it easier. Dosatéhigo nasádo |
